As difficult as it may be to believe, Panic! At The Disco‘s classic debut record, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, celebrated its tenth anniversary over the weekend. Released on September 27, 2005 via Decaydance / Fueled By Ramen Records, Fever was a massive commercial success that put the band on the map and has allowed them to stay relevant for a full decade. The album featured singles like the top-10 hit “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” “Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off,” and “The Only Difference Between Suicide And Martyrdom Is Press Coverage.” The band abandoned the pop-punk-meets-vaudeville sound on the sophomore LP, Pretty. Odd, but have since transitioned into a more pop-influenced style in the records since.
Additionally, Panic! is gearing up to release a new single from their still-untitled upcoming record tomorrow, September 29. Called “Victorious,” the new song is the third glimpse of the album, following “Hallelujah” and the Beats 1-premiered “Death Of A Bachelor.” Hopefully Panic! decides to detail the upcoming album along with the new single.
